Get Covered Tennessee is a state-wide Navigator program led by Family & Children’s Service to help Tennesseans find quality healthcare through the Marketplace, Medicaid (TennCare), Children’s Health Insurance Program (CoverKids), and community-based healthcare services.
The program is funded by the federal government to provide free, unbiased, one-on-one assistance to help people understand their health care options and sign up for health insurance coverage.
The Get Covered Tennessee program has over 30 federally certified Navigators who provide in-person and phone-based assistance throughout the state. In addition, the program is supported by two sub-grantees Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville and rural East Tennessee, and Appalachian Mountain Project Access (AMPA) in Northeast Tennessee.
Our program serves an important role in connecting communities with historically low access to health coverage, increased health disparities and poor health outcomes to quality, affordable health coverage.
